1) For a sequence 24,27,30,… find 5th term.

5) Find one solution for 3x + 4y = 12
6) Find x if Dx = 30 and D = 10

1) Find sum of first n natural numbers
2) Rakesh deposits Rs 10 on first day, Rs 12 on second day, Rs 14 on 3rd day and so on. Find the amount deposited on 12th day.
3) Solve by factorization method 3y2 – 14y + 8 = 0
4) Find nature of root for the following equation 2x + 7y = 13; 6x + 21y = 24
5) In a right angled triangle one of the acute angle exceeds the other by 20o. Find measure of angles.
6) Form quadratic equation if roots are  2 and -3

1) Find first negative term from the following A.P 122, 116, 110 …….
2) Solve by formula method 4x2 +x – 5 = 0.
3) One diagonal of a rhombus is greater than other by 4cm. if the area is 96cm2. Find the diagonal.
4) Solve by Cramer’s rule 3x + 2y + 11=0;  7x -4y = 9
5) Solve 1 + 1 = 8; 4 - 2 = 2.

Q.4. Solve any Two: (8)
1) For an AP first and last term is 13 and 216 respectively and the common difference is 7. How many terms are there in A.P. Find sum of all terms.
2) Solve  x4 – 29x2 + 100 = 0
3) Solve graphically  x + y =7; x – y = 1

Q.5. Solve any Two: (10)
1) In A.P 7,14,21… how many terms are to be considered for getting the sum 5740.
2) Around a square pool there is a footpath of width 2m. if the area of the footpath is 5/4 times that of the pool. Find area of the pool.
3) A bus covers a certain distance with uniform speed. If the speed of the bus would have  been increased by 15 km/h, it would have taken two hours less to cover the same  distance. And if the speed of the bus would have been decreased by 5 km/h, it would  have taken one hour more to cover the same distance. Find the distance covered by the  bus.
